A family-led architectural practice in Erbil, Kurdistan Region, working since 2002.
The practice has worked continuously from Erbil since 2002. Over that time it has built a portfolio of more than 2,000 projects, from private houses to commercial buildings, for clients in Iraq and internationally.
The work is led by Dana Kadir, whose professional reputation, client relationships and architectural experience shape how the practice operates. Commissions are handled by the people who design them, which is why clients tend to return with the next project.
Our base in Erbil gives us working knowledge of local authorities, suppliers and trades. Our international commissions have taught us to adapt that knowledge to unfamiliar sites, codes and climates.

How we think about buildings
Understanding the client
The brief is a conversation before it is a document. We ask how you live or work, what has frustrated you before and what you want the building to make possible.
Responding to the site
Orientation, access, climate and neighbours decide more than style does. The building should look as though it belongs where it is.
Practical planning
Rooms that work, circulation that makes sense, services that can be maintained. Good planning is what makes a building comfortable for decades.
Material quality
A short list of materials, detailed properly, ages better than a long list applied thinly. We specify what the budget can carry well.
Attention to execution
A drawing only matters if it is built. We stay close to site, check what is delivered and resolve problems while they are still small.
